Can Handpicked aluminium frames be left outside?

Yes. Handpicked aluminium frames are designed to stay outside all year round. Our frames are made from aluminium which has good corrosion resistance and is a lightweight material with a solid structure. Aluminium has many advantages when used outdoors as it is lightweight and does not rust. When this is used outdoors, slight surface dirt and a light form of corrosion may develop. This however, is not absorbed into the product, is not permanent in nature and can easily be removed. If damage to the paint occurs, scratches, scrapes etc. can be easily retouched. Can Handpicked furniture cushions be left outside?

Handpicked aluminium lines feature complete season acrylic/polyester mix cushions that have an inner waterproof coating. These are designed to withstand light showers, but protecting them from the elements will prolong their life.

How should Handpicked alumimium furniture be cared for?

Handpicked furniture requires minimal maintenance. The aluminium frames ensure a trouble-free life. They can be wiped down with water and a non-foaming detergent and left to dry naturally. Your cushion covers can be washed in lukewarm water with mild soapy detergent. It is advised that they are left to dry naturally and, while still damp, put them back on the cushions to help them back to their original shape. Do not tumble dry. Do not iron. Do not dry clean. We recommend that mechanisms on reclining components are occasionally sprayed with e.g. a silicone lubricant to protect and lubricate. Use reclining mechanism regularly to ensure smooth function. Over time, pistons may need adjusting.
